INTIMACY PROFESSIONAL…

Matthew [They/He] has been working as an Intimacy Choreographer and Coordinator in theatre and film since 2018. Passionate about fostering spaces of collaborative bravery, Matthew meets the unique needs of each production by providing an adaptable set of consent based tools. They work with warmth and specificity to support a production’s vision with cohesive and intentional physical storytelling. Matthew choreographs intimate stories, from the delicate to the explosive, by building on their foundation of consent-forward, trauma-informed, and anti-racist values and approaches. 

In their work as an intimacy professional, Matthew has spent their career generating and implementing consent-forward practice for professional and academic environments through consultation, workshops, and policy. 

To cultivate a diverse and comprehensive perspective, Matthew has trained with a number of organizations including Open Intimacy Creatives, Theatrical Intimacy Education, & Intimacy Directors and Coordinators.

Matthew specializes in authentic queer narratives, coming-of-age stories, and working with early career actors.
